Background
Karin Therese Madjar Åhs was born on april the 22nd 1980 in Gothenburg, Sweden, where she still lives with her husband. She's from a family of musicians and as a result she has always had music in her life. She tried different instruments like clarinet and piano but in the end it was playing the guitar and singing that stuck. She was in the school choir for several years and started writing her own songs at age 14. Since then she has written over 50 songs on her own and have about 20 collaborations under her belt.

Work
Therese works for a non profit organization called passalen where they have a choir, an arts project, sailing and other activities for people with disabilities. She also works as a personal assistant.

Music
Therese is a former "Second Life" performer. Second Life is a virtual world where people from all over the world can get together. Thanks to the ability to link web radio into Second Life a musician can sit at home and stream music into the world thus enabeling those present to listen to everything the musician says or sings with just seconds delay. Therese was the first Swedish musician to pick up on this phenomena and that got the media interested and she's been featured in magazines, blogs and even TV.
Today she doesn't perform in Second Life at all but she's promised to do a couple of appearances before the year is over.
She's also planning to do some shows in clubs around Gothenburg together with Robert Lundgren (piano, guitar) and maybe Eva Nilzon (song and violin).
She's also started recording some songs and hopefully they will eventually turn into an album. We'll keep you posted on the progress!
