I realized that I wrote about work without saying what I actually do… So for those of you wondering, here it goes…
I’m actually schooled to be a kindergarden teacher but as it turns out, that’s not really my thing. When I went to school I was more interested in the parts of the education concerning people with disabilities, so when I finished school I applied for a job as a personal assistant. The job I got was with a girl that I still work for today, 3½ years later.
I’ve also been working alot for a non profit organization providing activities so that kids with disabilities can do fun stuff in their free time. That involvs music, arts and crafts, theatre, going to the movies, amusement parks and sailing among other things.
That job takes alot of energy from me though and even if I find it very fulfilling and inspiring I decided to take a years leave of absence, starting today. I think I might have become a total burnout if I hadn’t done something.
So now I’m just going to work as a personal assistant and try my best to finish my CD. This way I can actually have days off, and nights and weekends off! That’s not something I’ve been spoiled with lately.
Today we were in a harbor in Gothenburg and all the kids got to try sailing.
Even if I’m taking a break and I’m feeling the way I’m feeling, I still love the organization and what it does.
